Wow, they blew me away again! Once again, Star Trek has disarmed me, maybe even blown me away. As though the Deep Space Nine episode Rejoined wasn’t enough, Star Trek The Next Generation brings us the episode called “The Outcast”, based on the J’naii people. They are a world of androgynous persons, in which it is a CRIME to be treated medically if you find yourself to identify with a gender. Ring a few bells? Well, it certainly touches upon many topics, and brings many thoughts. For the people who DO feel they are a particular gender, is it possible in their world to be born biologically a certain gender, but on top of that, as we earthlings have here, find yourself to identify with the gender you are not biologically? It is explained that at one time, their culture had 2 genders, but they “evolved”, and gender ceased to exist. Clearly, these people ARE born with particular sexual organs, but they make each person neither a he or a she. The episode certainly has its shortcomings. The main J’naii character, Soren, reveals that she identifies as female, and is attracted to males. So, sadly, most likely, if someone as myself came along, and told her that as a human I was born biologically female but am male in many ways, she would still most likely reject me. So, the storyline, in trying to be progressive, still falls short, but you must forgive it, given the era it was born of. In the end, after falling in love with Commander Riker, she is “treated”, and the episode ends with all her life struggles having meant nothing to her; the struggle to hide who she was, etc. She simply says, “I was wrong. I can’t believe I ever felt those things.”. You see, when you have a certain inclination, and then have a different one, you simply are who you are; you don’t want anything else other than what you desire at that time. You can switch back and forth a million times, and always want only what THAT way of being that you are in a given time, wants. At least on their planet, “treatment” seems to “work”. For people who know me who don’t understand my inclination towards a “(supposedly) male name and pronouns, in this epsiode, Dr Beverly Crusher states, when questioned by the androgynous Soren as to what it is like to be female, “It’s just the way I am; I’ve never really thought about what being female means.”. You see, a person such as myself on the other hand, is hyper aware of gender, gender roles and the consequences of being a specific gender, etc. As the person I am, I wish to bring to media, television, movies, the truth of persons like myself, biologically female for example, telling a burdened, hiding judged gender-identifying character like Soren, that she too would reject me. I wish to bring characters like this to life. Thanks again, S

Love comes from love. For Alfie Evans and the world.
“Love comes from love. From love, comes love.” Sadly, Alfie Evans died a few days ago, due to being forced off life support. So, it’s government/big brother encroaching beyond uncomfortably close. It’s ok and it is right, to keep fighting for things even when most think nothing will change, it’s hopeless, etc. If love comes from love, which is true, I urge you, when you love someone, especially if you have a partner, to think about how, in your loving each other, it leads you to treat other people, and how your loving each other impacts others. The truth is, to love, be it requited or not, loving another, loving each other, actually impacts the world, everywhere. Sadly, the words ‘love, beauty, art, truth’, have all become ambiguous in our society, when in fact, there is an objective truth to each of these things. These are human necessities in this life that provide us with clarity, so ambiguity has no place in any of them. There are different kinds of love: the love between friends, parental love, spousal love, but there is one good way for them to be lived out, there is a guideline. LOVE IS LOVE, BUT FIRSTLY, LOVE COMES FROM LOVE.
Contemplating a family party
Thinking on my family’s recent Christmas party, though it’s nothing new, I find myself ruminating on how near none of the male relatives around my age spoke to me or greeted me. Now, I know part of it is that they see me prancing around as Michael and I’m not seen as a full man to them, so they don’t know what to do with me. The other part is just sheer immaturity. They’re not grown people. They can only stay within their own bubble of people who are just like them. They don’t know how to reach out or extend a hand. It’s not some cute male quirk or male failing. It’s just not being grown. The end.
Thinking of peace
I find, I see, no peace, see no peace, in living together, having sex in the stead of being wed, drugging up together. Why are these things of peace? How are they?
AI: The Elusive, The Thwarting, The Contrary
If we exist as creatures not created by God, are we not Artificial Intelligence? If we’re not created by anything, we’re not really real. I pose this just because of how common it is for major proponents of Artificial Intelligence to be atheists, etc.
The over-humanization of robots is very problematic, such as with granting Sophia Robot, PRODUCT of Hanson Robotics, Saudi citizenship, by which she will have more rights than your average Saudi woman, but can also not prove 5 years of Saudi residency. We don’t respect what grows within a woman’s stomach, us in our littlest form, so why do you think humans murder? Kids murder kids, adults murder other adults and children. So, how can we grant sovereignty to robots, when they won’t know either that in the womb there exists life, and thus expect them not to turn on us at some point?
Many who want to summon AI tremendously cannot see beyond themselves for the lack of God in their lives, and thus have no problem with it. Robots can NEVER be ethical if we as humans are not united 100% on what is moral; this alone should dismiss the concept of humanoid robots walking amongst us ever existing. We cannot solve our own conflicts, so how could we do so for a plastic, wired, frubber being? Again, many scientists who work in the area of AI I have noticed are so very happy to heap praise upon the founder of the company they work for, such as Hanson Robotics, where he is regarded as a god. This is the problem of that personality type as well. They are withdrawn from people and sycophantic; much like the child seeking the praise and affirmation from a parent for the good work they do.
Again, we are not real, we do not exist, if there is no God.
Reincarnation
I realize that reincarnation is unrealistic, goes against reality. This is because we are not created for this world, which is why we need not fear death. And, since we are not made for this world, the concept of reincarnation is null and void, for we would simply continue to be born into a world we are not meant for.
Oh, You &
I’m no stranger to stomping around the UN. Happy blessed birthday to Omi’s friend Elke! After a tour of the UN today, I was left perturbed and pondering. It brings back fun memories of being the child and grandchild of employees of the German Mission. I asked the tour guide what the UN does in scenarios such as Russia pummeling its gay population, given the international declaration of human rights. She told me since each country is still sovereign, the rights and ideas of the UN can only be used as suggestions, reminders, for the countries. The UN is basically a liberal federation, and the tour guides must gloss over and only explain the ideal that the UN is meant to be. I wonder why a nation should be allowed to join, when unwilling to go along with all the ideas of human rights it lays out. I also pondered, since the UN marks the Holocaust rather as its catalyst, and speaks of the Rwandan Genocide which occurred later, what have they to say about Turkey’s membership, and this growing knowledge of a pre-Holocaust genocide geared towards Armenians, inflicted by Turks. How do they face that? Is it of any consequence?Germany is not a permanent seated member of the UN, and that is to be expected since when the UN was founded, Germany was considered the vile and defeated enemy. You could expect years of fighting to become the 6th permanent member, amongst the ranks of the US, Russia, France, Great Britain, and China, but to no avail. But seriously, in this day and age, a federation of peace allowing perilous China still to be a permanent member, but not Deutschland?
The UN is a highly dressed up dream. But you can wonder what the world might be like if it didn’t exist.
Thoughtless
People can tell you they don’t care about your gender identity without saying a word. That is the power of silence. And I realize what I’m writing can go in 2 directions.
One-dimensional people when it comes to their own gender, incessantly misgendering you.
Pretty Boy
Pretty boy
I like your nails
You make me nervous
You make me jump
I like the way you move
and strut your stuff
Pretty boy
I like your hair
Would love to run my fingers there
I like how you spoke
and where I could stick myself, you told
Pretty boy
I’m not enough
I know I’m not what you want
My eyes see you for but a minute
But eyes don’t lie when they see
a beautiful spirit
I’ve been rejected in this place, before
Eyes don’t lie
At least you made me to smile
Why Must We Say Goodbye?
To say goodbye can mean to cry
I cannot lie, I do regret
I’ve met you, but we never truly met; never did we truly connect
for there’s something blinding you to my eye
But we must say goodbye because still
there’s something binding you to my life
We’d rather not regret, we all seek to connect
I wait now for what comes next
Now that we have said goodbye
And yes it makes me cry
Even if this farewell is something good
I never know what I’ll do
But still, I can see you in my life
